I found the hack to not be a Master Procrastinator!

Whenever I sit down to reflect on myself, I always conclude with one not-so-great attribute of mine. Procrastination.

And I kid you not when I tell you, I have built big things in life, in my head :')

Like most of us, January 1st of every year is the day I am at my peak motivation, especially to get into a fitness routine. And then, as days pass by, hitting the gym is as big a task as shifting apartments! I have still not found the motivation to hit the gym though, really find that place very boring :P

But now that I live alone, which has a lot of perks, it also comes with small things like responsibilities, paying bills, cooking food, and stuff, haha. And after a long day at work, I don't have much enthusiasm left to do these small adulting things. And adulting really kicks you back the very next day.

So I thought, something really needs to be done for managing these small things in my day (are they small though?). And being an avid consumer of social media, especially the YouTube shorts on cleaning motivation and organization, I found a really cool hack that I wanted to share.

Honestly, I am not able to recall which creator had shared it, but nevertheless, here it goes -

"Do something every day that your future self will be thankful for"

Read it twice or thrice, but when I am saying this has made life easier for a master procrastinator like me, it can really help you too.

I will explain with a real-life example - every day before leaving for work, I do my entire house except I find the task of folding my blanket really tedious. And when I come back after almost ten hours of work and I see that unfolded blanket lying on the bed, it really irritates me a lot. So, I tried the thank your future self hack for a few days in the morning and that really made my evenings much better than most of the mornings :D

Not only for my personal life, this is something I try for my work as well. Especially with those tasks that do not need a lot of my energy but at the same time require to be done within a time frame to not be pointed out by my manager the next day, hehe.

I know all these sounds really nice and all, but I am still going to procrastinate over that gym thing :D
